To make a booking, a connection between Blue10 and the accounting system is required. To link Blue10 to an administration in the accounting system, you need to create a New Company in Blue10.
This retrieves suppliers and other master data, so they can be used in Blue10.
Step-by-Step Guide to Create a New Company
Follow these steps to connect Blue10 with Exact Online:
- Click on Settings > Companies to open the Company Overview.
- Click the + New Company button.
- Enter the name of the administration. This name is visible to all users in Blue10.
- Select the accounting system and click Create new Company.
- A new window will open. Under Base Information, enter the following details:
1.Country: This setting is derived from the accounting system.
2.Currency: This setting is derived from the accounting system.
3.Use the sales invoice module: This is set to “Yes” by default. Select “No” if the company doesn’t processes sales invoices.
4.Use the packing slip module: This is set to “Yes” by default. Select “No” if the company doesn’t use packing slips to process together with purchase invoices. - Connect to the accounting system. Under ERP Adapter information, enter the following information:
1.Administration Number: Enter the administration code for the administration in which invoices will be recorded. In Exact Online, you can find this code in the upper left next to the administration name.
2. Server Country: Choose the field where the Exact Online administration is hosted.
3. Division Code: Enter the division code. The division code will also be filled in automatically after saving the company.
4. Default Purchase Journal Number: Enter the default purchase journal where purchase invoices should be recorded. - Click Save to create your company in Blue10 and establish the connection.
Note: Is this the first administration in Exact Online? Follow these steps:
- Click the Connect button to connect Blue10 to Exact Online for the first administration. A new window will open.
- Log in to Exact Online. Grant permission to connect both the current and all future administrations. After logging in, you’ll see the message: “You have successfully connected to Blue10. You can close this window.” There is no need to click Connect again when linking another administration. The connection has already been established.
- Tip: Click Show users with access to this company to view users who have access to this administration. Their permissions for this company are also visible.
Additional Company Settings
With the remaining settings, you can further integrate Blue10 with the accounting system. For example, indicate whether VAT should be applied or if a logistics package is in use. Click one of the tabs below for more information about the settings.
Note: The settings between Blue10 and the accounting system must always match.
